Detention crisis between China and Ghana

Beijing government warned Ghana about the event that taking into custody 90 citizens by reason of gold mining and also killing a citizen.

 

Acoording to the statement made by Foreign Minister of China, Beijing government uttered their unease about the event of detention and killing to Ghana. In the statement, it is emphasized Ghana is supposed to act in accordance with law, preserving the safety and rights of China citizens. Ministry hasn't given information about the date of detention in the explanation they made in the formal website. In the statement, it is cited Ghana comes down on the illegal gold mining and " arrests Chineses recently.”

 

Chinese Embassy in Ghana announced 40 Chinese citizens were taken into custody by reason of illegal gold mining, 38 of them are deported previous month.

 

China has been critised of saving the safety and rights of its citizens in the other countries and Beijing government have tried to take precautions to change this image.
